I saw it in St Louis yesterday. I had no idea the parking chair spread so far west!

When I first moved here, I thought Pittsburgh stole the idea from Boston. I couldn't believe Pittsburghers thought they were only ones doing it.

I've seen it practiced widely in Chicago as well.

And I'm sure they have better spot saving devices there. 'burghers have no idea what good spot savers are.

Definitely a universal thing. Just read a thread in Minneapolis with people complaining that no one knows how to merge. Sound familiar?

Kinda like the Pittsburgh Left. Same issues/complaints everywhere.

You'll sometimes see them in Philly as well. The other day, I saw a parking barstool in West Mount Airy.

A lot of Pittsburghers think certain things only happen here. People at work one day seriously thought this was the only place where people said pop over soda. I told them plenty of people say pop in Ohio, Western NY, Michigan, and Canada as well.

Wedding soup is also frequently "claimed" by Pittsburghers.
