Huh. I guess Lobos still is Lobos. I've heard so many horror stories about that place, I'm surprised they haven't had to change their name.

Like Mozart? I don't recall what their name used to be.

I'm hoping it's not Mozart! Looking at the places they had available, I was really hoping to hear some good things! I have a car so a commute isn't an issue (I'd like to stay within 15mins though and close to a grocery store!). Super nice rentals though!

They used to be called "NALCO", they changed their name after they lost a very large fair housing lawsuit several years back.

Hey,

So I was thinking about it after finding a really cute cottage on Craigslist through a private landlord (unfortunately a little too small for me since my boyfriend will be moving up in December and we need a little more space for him to have an office area), and I was wondering if there is a website that private landlords post on that I can check for that type of housing instead of larger rental companies. I don't have a chance to visit Pittsburgh again until May, which is when I'll be visiting places, so I'm just trying to keep my eyes open right now.

Thanks!

You could try Padmapper, though that mostly is just Craigslist.
I am not so sure about this, but the Post-Gazette has classified ads, but they may not include all the ads from the paper version.

Yeah, Forbes looked nice except they don't seem to have any properties that are dog-friendly. I'm bringing my 6lbs toy poodle with me.

Something I just found it is that the Regent Square Rentals is run by Lobos!

PMing you with my landlord's name and phone number; she just bought a duplex in s. Squirrel Hill and one of my neighbors, who will be getting a dog, moved there. Landlord also owns several other small properties in the area, so maybe others allow dogs too.
