Default When will the Heritage Trail be complete to McKeesport?

Does anyone know where to find timelines for the Heritage Trail construction? I am most interested in the section right before entering Homestead from the Southside... for this section the trail comes to an end right before the Glenwood Bridge and you have to walk along the train tracks for a little ways until you get to Sandcastle's parking lot. Any ideas when this section, and the rest of the trail to McKeesport will be finished?

It appears Sandcastle has "blocked" the trail for the average per$on. It's a shame after years of community support Sandcastle (Kennywood Entertainment) can't make a quick resolution. The bike trail has been planned for years, it not like the problem started yesterday.

Post Gazette 4/07
"Another trail segment they've still not purchased runs along the Sandcastle property in West Homestead and is owned by Kennywood Entertainment Co.
Andrew R. Quinn, director of community relations for the waterpark, said there are a couple of "pinch points" where the company has not figured out how to run the trail. One is over a culvert that has collapsed, leaving a hole in the parking lot. The other is near a bridge abutment.
He pledged those problems would be resolved so that the trail would run uninterrupted past Sandcastle by next year".
