The graffiti in Flint, Mi began getting so bad (in areas) that no one knew how to handle it.
A couple organizations are in the processing of teaming up and are offering a bit of money to guys who were repeat offenders in the graffiti world. They organizations pay the guys to "professionally" graffiti (there's probably a better term) various buildings and signs. The goal is to keep their hands busy, keep them doing the art that graffiti can be, get them on the right track and doing their art legally. Now, it certainly won't help for the 23498985 gangs who just like to mark their territory but it'll help a bit and right now that's what the city needs. |
