Lucky you then! Oh wait... you mean you LIVE in Beaver... wait, even that sounds perverse.

Those storms were amazing. I'm all about rain when it gives us a show like that.

We didn't make it out of Lawrenceville because the sheets of rain started coming down at a really inopportune time, but man was that a show. We stopped by a friends house that overlooks the Allegheny River valley from about halfway up the hill in upper Lawernceville and the horizontal lightning and the strobing clouds made for the perfect conversation piece.

I'm really glad this spurred a discussion about enjoying what this world has to offer us instead of burying heads in our smartphones and TVs as it is so easy to do. After a winter and spring of working 80 hour weeks, I've gained a new appreciation for being unplugged. Pittsburgh has so much to offer to my senses, and just by using my feet, bike, or an uber, I've really enjoyed this summer more than any other.

Thanks again for all the suggestions and stories!

I was watching the first part of the storm from our seats at PNC. That wasn't fun.

Bailed after about an hour with no indication of when game would resume.

When we got thru the Ft. Pitt Tunnel onto Banksville... all hail broke loose. Not tiny stuff either... we kept expecting the windshield to crack. Us and a dozen other cars tried to huddle under the canopy of the BP station on Banksville until that passed.

My cat was facinated by the hail. She was sitting in the window trying to "catch" it. It was entertaining. My dog was pacing and unnerved as he usually is with storms. He's a 75 pound wimp.
