Running a T spur north along I279 and I79 would be a great idea

- A real beltway all the way around the city to replace the current color coded silliness.
- PIT becoming a major hub again

Bill Peduto actually would like the same thing. I don't know if it will happen. We'll see.

It would make it a real pain for transit riders wanting to go to locations in town, forcing them off the bus before they get to their destination.

I would have liked to have seen the Civic Arena site become a transit center, with all buses stopping there and circulators through downtown. Or trolleys.

How about if they only run on Liberty Ave and Blvd of Allies/Grant St? that should get most people pretty close to their destination and those are all wide streets.

I noticed the vast majority of the responses are related to transportation issues. I guess it makes sense. Life is too short to be wasting time getting from point A to point B. I suppose people that live in other cities with traffic issues would have similar aspirations.

Sort of like they did in East Lib, back in the day?

Keep the buses off of Penn and Highland, run them all around the Penn Circle and the people could just walk to the perimeter?

I'm so used to thinking of Fifth and Smithfield as the center of town, not to have the East End buses stop there seems strange. I wouldn't mind moving the Smithfield Street Smoker Stations somewhere else, though.
