gangs and cliques are 2 different things, a clique is usually a group of males or females that lived on the same street and grew up together, there aren't any gangs in duquesne, but there are some cliques. I don't really know about homestead

That "gang" list seems like it's 10+ years old. Not that I'm all that familiar with gang life here -- but most of the "bloods & crips" in McKeesport were put in jail for sure so...
(I actually have a cousin that lives in Crawford Village).
And where is Clairton on that list?

We're I am from it's cliques and gangs basically the same. It was a bunch of cliques that when a another came around starting trouble it then turned into a "gang". My brother lived in the Duke for a couple years in there was crips up there. Since 93 all the bangin' died down because a lot of people getting locked up because the Rico laws. Talk what you know pimpin'.

I was raised in Duquesne, and there were never any crips, it was bloods, and they were only concentrated in 1 small area. The rest were cliques of dudes from different streets that grew up together. If u don't know what you are talking about, then I suggest you not post at all.

Your not making any sense. High school kids who have a certain group of people they hang out with are called cliques. The same group of people that always hang with each other are called cliques. A gang is totally different from that. If you have any kids in middle or high school that hangs out with the same group of people that they grew up with, then that is considered a clique. You seem very confused.

Oh wow I don’t make sense? The term clique has changed in people eyes now. I know what you mean by kids that grow up on the same street and constantly chill with each other call themselves a clique. Even back when my mom and dad where teenagers their cliques was basically miniature gangs. Tell you what ask anyone out side of us what the difference between a gang and a clique is. Let’s see if they would be able to tell you the difference? I am not here to argue about something that make our communities look dumb. I was just pointing out the fact that cliques/gangs do exist even in place wouldn’t think would have them. I should also add it’s nowhere near what it was like in the 90s.

What they call "gangs" in Pittsburgh..makes a friend of mine from Los Angeles laugh..
what they call "gangs" here is: 3 or 4 guys hang out and sell drugs and they get mad at
another group of 3 or 4 guys who sell drugs...or I heard there was some kind of rivalry
between Arlington and Bellsoover? oh please..like in 1.5 miles apart and some of the
guys could be related to each other..
I would say "toy" gangs..but since they have guns it dosen't make them any less dangerous..
Then, you have people who like to dress "gangster" or "hip-hop"..so you really don't know who is in a gang or not..however i did see 2 guys dressed exactly alike walking
down the street..and i thought "I wonder if they are gang members?"...
I don't move with that low element so I have no idea except what is in the media...
