I think if Cranberry Town Center came to fruition, people would pay more than $250k+ to live in Cranberry or its surrounding townships. Not because people want the walkability of something like Cranberry Town Center instead of driving from place-to-place; but because there is nothing else like it in the Pittsburgh suburbs. It would really set Cranberry apart from any other suburban area of Pittsburgh and make it a destination for the region, rather than just a growing suburb. That's just my opinion.

People already pay well over $250k to live here. $250k is being conservative.

Half the time I think they are just trolling you. Your single-minded devotion to Cranberry is remarkable, as is your insistence that you have constant, easy access to all the amenities of "da 'burgh" just because you have a car.

I'm trying to say property values would rise even higher from a development like CTC. I understand people already pay well over $250k to live in Cranberry.

It's not trolling. It's just a disdain for paying cheaper taxes.

If I hadn't lived in the city, Wexford, and Cranberry, you might have a valid accusation of single-minded.

I have all of the easy access to the amenities of da 'burgh I want by having a car. Thinking otherwise makes zero sense as I can drive to da 'burgh any time I choose and experience it and anything I like.

I personally hate driving and walk everywhere I can, but I'd suspect that for some people the fact that you have to drive everywhere up there would be a plus. For some reason some people see believe there's a stigma to walking, and a lot of suburbs developed in the early part of the 20th century did what they could to get rid of sidewalks. There are large portions of Mt. Lebanon where the sidewalks disappear once you get 2-3 blocks off Rt 19.

1) I really don't care how much you pay in taxes. Seriously. Every time you bring it up, I just sort of laugh, because I just don't care. I think my taxes are fair for what I earn and where I live, and that's all there is to it.

2) My point about single-minded is that your devotion to Cranberry is astonishing. I realize you have lived in other places; that was not my point.

3) I realize that the 40-minute drive seems like easy access to you. It's straight up hilarious that you are unwilling to admit that maybe, just maybe, it's a teensy bit easier to spend time in the city when you live here than when you don't.

You can keep arguing; I am not going to reply very often, but I will keep laughing at your comments. I don't have any problem with where you live; I just think it's hilarious that you are so smug about so little.

Removing sidewalks, blocking transit, zoning that requires large lots, and preventing apartments and dense housing were all used to deliberately create lily-white suburbs that were subsidized by federal money for the freeways they needed and to back mortgages (which were by law used to enforce racial segregation until the 90s).

We're still doing it, unsurprisingly.

Same could be said of your infatuation with city living.
