And when his current gig in downtown Pittsburgh is over, he won't be anxious to come back ever.
I hate to break it to you, but no one in the city cares if he ever does or not.

Employers need to be in a attractive and convenient place to attract good people to come in and do the work.

If its a real drag for Joe Delmont to come to Pittsburgh to work, he'll seek to ply his trade in Vandergrift or Johnstown or some place else.

Maybe it doesn't make any difference if they are looking for messengers or janitors, it could mean something different if they are looking for someone with more rarified skills.

Expanded parking on the North Shore is needed however after spending all the money to bring the Light Rail over and to just terminate there is silly. Push that thing out to where many of these space users are coming in from. Utilize what you built, don't just add a few more parking spaces.

Or the casino.

Free, covered parking, plus you can get a free coffee or soda on your way to the "T" in the morning.

It's the best parking deal in town, hands down!

I think it's pretty obvious that it's a symbiotic relationship between the city and the suburbs. One is not more important than the other, and each would be far less were it not for the other.
