Sorry.............
Wow, that's so funny that you say that... I've noticed precisely the opposite. I just had a conversation with a bunch of friends last week how we were amazed how many attractive women Pittsburgh has. Denver is an attractive city, and when my girlfriend arrived in Pittsburgh, she said she was even surprised at how many hot guys there were here. I guess its all a matter of opinion, or personal experience? But I swear, every time I go out I am amazed.

I'm not sure if it's personal experience or not. I'm in Scottsdale, AZ and I'm the mother of a 20 year old and 17 year old. I get picked up all the time in Pittsburgh! In Scottsdale, I'm just another good looking woman.
Maybe it has to do with the fact we are all tan and blonde here since the sun is out all the time.
And since it's always SO hot, we don't wear a lot of clothes so no matter how old you are, you had better be packing a six pack. LOL

I guess the pressure is stronger here to look good.

I suppose this may be the reason for the difference in opinion. Being 25 years old, I realize now that I am only referring to the 20-somethings I see around town. You could very well be correct that Pittsburghers in your generation are much less attractive, I don't pay much attention to that

I can concur. I lived on 10th street while attending Duquense. Then I transferred to Pitt, which became a huge hassle to get to (had to walk to 18th street, and catch the terrible 54C) .

And yes, most of Pitt's and CMU's students live in Shadyside. BUT- Duquesne students tend to have more disposable income, considering their (10 yrs ago) tuition was in the $30K range. Their mommy's and daddy's tend to pay their credit card bill, as opposed to the Pitt students that are paying their own tuition. Not to stereotype, but since I did attend both schools, that was the impression I got
