Thought that would pique your interest.

My wife and I attended The Full Monty at Carnegie Mellon the other night. Unbelievable talent on the stage. If you have the time, go see it. In fact, based on the Great White North's grading system, I give this play 4 out of 5:

I would have given it 5, but the nudity bothered me. All male, no chicks.

One of the great under discussed components of the arts scene around here are the productions put on by CMU's performing arts programs. From classical music to musicals and plays, they really have a ton going on that is accessible and inexpensive.

Also, bravo on the review. I give the review an 11/10 on the wit scale.

Since it was directed by Patrick Wilson it got a little more publicity than your average CMU production.

And yet, I knew nothing until Copa posted. The next Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, and Zach Quinto, perhaps, full montying in my very own zip code, and I missed it.

Even the 5th and 6th leads were so talented, I was really knocked out by it. I'm a Patrick Wilson fan but he wasn't present that night. There was an article in the Post about his involvement. My wife got the tickets 4 days before the performance, we aren't subscribers, but my wife is an alumni, that may have helped. Yeah, I know, why would anyone that smart marry me.

If that is what you want, be sure to see a production of "Hair". I honestly didn't know it had a nude scene with the cast. Yes, even the chicks.

I saw a professional production tour of "The Full Monty" and it came ever so close to nudity, but well timed theatrical effects hid it. Thank goodness.

You must be young. That was Hair's original claim to fame--notoriety?--back in the '60s. That, plus the music didn't suck.
