Have fun!

"The natural gas industry is in its worst 12-month-period ever, but the leaders of the gas industry mimic the captain of the Titanic. The price of natural gas is at rock-bottom levels, often selling for less than $2 for a thousand cubic feet, creating pain for many producers. But low prices are compounded by collapsing public support for fracking, as documented by a national Gallup Poll released on March 30."

Yeah, there's always ups and downs. Hopefully when it comes up they'll expand to us.

That presents an interesting paradox here. If fracking is abolished, the price of natural gas goes up, and it suddenly makes drilling a lot more popular, both among job seekers as well as home owners looking for price relief.

Let me get this straight, erieguy...

So on one hand, you want to make absolutely sure that everyone knows that the oil wells are just outside the boundaries of Cranberry... even to the point that you deny seeing them so you can lend assurances to those who don't want to live with these wells and their potential for violations that poison the groundwater and cause earthquakes...

BUT

You also want to ensure the world that EVERONE in Cranberry agrees in wanting drilling within its borders. So really, it's just a matter of time...

Gotcha. That should bring 'em in droves!

I don't have all the facts, but I do know there are a lot of private gas wells in Butler county. I'm sure there are some on the remaining farms and older homes in Cranberry. I would have to think that the citizens of Cranberry would fight very hard if the govt. decided to allow fracking. The derricks would not look good next to soccer fields.

There have been posters here that have ended up moving here.

Nope, no wells sited from my area.

People certainly have the right to know the truth of the area.

Not sure where you've been but you're way behind on the fracking issue, really. Fracking is nothing new, and certainly not brand new to Western Pa....and with your obsession of it, do yourself a huge favor and stay out of the Monaca/Beaver County Mall area. You won't be able to take what's coming.

Doubt they'll frack at the huge Dicks Sportscomplex/Graham Park...but if they do they'll have the $$$ for an indoor arena.

So which is it? I'm just trying to get your "factual info" straightened out. Does all of Cranberry yearn for wells within their borders as you said? Or do you want to point out (again) that there are no wells in Cranberry, so there is nothing to worry about?

Lol. No wells in Cranberry but I'd wager the majority will take the $$$ should the opportunity arise. I know I will and most everyone I've ever talked to will.

Ok... I'm going to hold you to it, and I'll never claim differently until the situation changes...

The fracking may stop at the Cranberry border now, but it will be coming soon, so enjoy the anticipation!
