The Fan, Trib, PG, DK, local media, etc..., are all extensions of the Bucs PR dept. So many fans buy into saving $$$ and working on the cheap that it's not going to get better for the Bucs as far as the postseason or WS goes. If Mario or the Rooney's operated the way the Bucs do, there would be a huge amount of empty seats.

Pitching was going to be an obvious problem...but instead of getting MLB talent to replace what they dumped, they've relied on the Searage treatment. Spend the $$$ to get proven talent and fill the holes.

The "bridge year" talk is nonsense. When they're always building it's always a bridge year and the future never comes.

I'll be very happy with 83 wins.

Neil Walker ties Mets home run record for April. On pace to tie the MLB record. He'd sure look good in a Bucs uniform. At least they won't have to face Arietta in the WC game should they get there.

Yet we seem to be scoring plenty of runs without him. Josh Harrison is batting .333, with 15 rbi. We don't miss Walker at all.

Really? Are they leading the division? Will they win the division? Walker has 9 hr 17 rbi's and is batting 306. Just because Harrison is cheaper, you can't rationalize that he's better.

More runs means more wins. Winning on the cheap hasn't worked unless you're satisfied with 6 innings of Buctober the last 2 years...and they haven't won a playoff series since 1979. Be nice to change that.

How would they have more runs with Harrison on the bench? Mets aren't in first either. Walker was expendable. If the Bucs fail, it'll be because of pitching, not trading Walker.

Pretty simple. Comparing stats between the 2, they'd have more runs with Walker playing than Harrison. More runs = more wins for the Bucs.

What does the Mets not leading the division have to do with Walker? They wouldn't be where they are without him, for sure. They're .5 games back vs the Bucs at 3.

In your opinion and those who choose to pinch pennies, feel Walker was expendable.

If the Bucs fail it'll be because of the usual $$$ dump and not spending at the deadline, same as usual.

Arguing against a guy with 9 home runs , 17 rbi's, and batting .306 is good stuff.

What Bucs are doing that?

What are you going to say when Cutch gets traded?

EG is happy with the 98 wins last year but it seems like he would`ve been happier if the Pirates had spent twice as much to get them. So what if cutch gets traded. The team is no longer dependent on one player.

Unfortunately, the Pirates missed out on signing Johnny Cueto this winter, getting another solid starter could have put them right in the picture this year.

Happy with more than another WC loss, actually.

Why do you have such low standards and want them to always work on the cheap?
