Yes, people who are coming in for a few days to see the museums etc would be interested in an airbnb near the Mattress Factory and the Mexican War Streets.

There's a nice house on Spring Hill, near Rhine at 1241 Haslage for $90k -- 1br/1ba on the first floor, 3br/1ba upstairs. Needs a ton of cosmetic work but nothing really wrong with it, just hasn't been updated since before I was born. Some nice woodwork survives, good bus connections and fabulous city views. For some reason I thought you really wanted a storefront downstairs, but if you just want a house divided into two or more units that shouldn't be too hard to find.

I don't need a store-front, although we do own a home business. I just like the look and feel of the Pittsburgh store-fronts with apartments above. They usually have higher ceiling, exposed brick, larger windows, etc... A building with that character.

I'm still mad that I didn't purchase this one when I had the chance:

This was also a solid contender, but my developer said the price is way too high for the amount of work that needs done compared to what the final value of the property would be:

Apparently the owner is unwilling to compromise on price.

That Spring Hill house, in my opinion, is asking way too much for how much work likely needs done on it. I've been seeing that a lot in my search for a house- people way underestimate the costs of repairs needed so they price their house way too high for the market.

I'm looking at a property in upper Lawrenceville tonight that has potential- just have to sell the wife on it.
