This is an interesting location on Liberty Ave in the Strip. Like the building. Looks very modern and will be a welcome sight in that spot, IMHO.

Can't get the image to post, but here is a link to the photo.

Here is the location.

Not a dealership... a service and collision center, according to your link.

Oh, thanks. Guess they will keep the one down in the South Hills then. Misread it. Well at least I can get parts for my poor old Audi with a pile of miles on it. Still is running pretty good, but I don't want to jinx it.

Actually, an existing warehouse at the corner is going to be the service/collision center. There WILL be a newly-constructed dealership, too, across the street on that empty corner near the Buncher buildings. Cochran has a billboard up on outbound Liberty advertising the new dealership already. I've been following this news closely because I live nearby, and I've always wanted an Audi.

Thanks for the update. Great!

I think you deserve one. I love the new S3, but they don't come in a manual transmission, which sucks for me. I would look at an A3 if I were you. Really a nice car and a nice size car for city folks. An A4 would be as big as I would ever want. After that all the cars are big 70's boats, which isn't very fun to drive. Do it!

Unless you want AWD and you're only interested in the A4, save the $$$ and get a loaded VW. The A4 only has the 2.0 motor so it's not the vehicle it used to be with the bigger motors.

I wouldn't disagree there the new Passat with a V6 is like almost 40k loaded... but if you can find one you can snag a loaded 2012-2013 one for about 16k. They are hard to find though and lots sell them really quick. I'm a 2 door sport coupe guy only right now but if I was going sedan that's what I would do.

What a terrible use for an urban space this close to downtown. A waste.

There's going to be thousands of upper-middle-class people living in the Strip District over the course of the next few years, and I'm guessing Cochran was seeing enough people from the Strip and East End patronizing its South Hills locations to justify opening a location here. The East End already has BMW and Mercedes-Benz dealerships. I'm surprised an Audi dealership took this long to get to this side of town.

I sort of wish the location would be a Wegman's instead of a car dealership myself, but I know this new location will definitely do some brisk business. If people are plunking down $400,000 for homes in my neighborhood now, then they'll definitely plunk down $40,000 for a luxury sedan.

gg, I thought you had a German sports car. Turns out all along it was just a more expensive VW. I would've pegged you on an M3 or Porsche the way you talked about it.
