Alternatively, there is a special train running south from Potomac to Overbrook Junction. At OJ you can do a short walk to transfer to the Blue line at the adjoining Willow Station. From there just take either the Blue Line Library or BL South Hills Village T to the North Side. I believe that Port Authority is offering free transfers for this trip for the duration of the construction.

Both of those alternatives likely will take longer than the direct ride once construction is complete. I'm guessing that they'd both be quicker than driving, especially with the Liberty Bridge closure.
Thank you so much for this information.
I'm thankful it is set to reopen completely by the end of this month.

Until the construction ends, you could also drive your car into Beechview, park on a side street, and walk to the Fallowfield station. Some of the streets are permit only, but some streets are not.

I read that it was opening on the 25th, but if they finish early that would be fantastic.

According to the Beechview community forums, everything is on schedule. Even if they do finish early, they're not going to start running the lines before the 25th. Something to do with PAT's quarterly schedule updates.
