It could be possible. Not anytime soon, but maybe sooner than you think. Of course nobody knows who would pay for it or where it would be routed, but it's still a neat convo item...

I know someone who works in Columbus but lives in Pittsburgh. He doesn't daily commute, though. It is a weekly thing. He's been doing it 2.5 years. I'm sure he'd love this.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this was "Maglev 2.0." And then when I saw the renderings of a giant raised tube on steel stilts I thought, "Uh, oh, no one will ever allow this to be built through their town."

I'm assuming they would be buried, no? This is just their test track. What is their size? Could other underground ROWs retrofit if its successful?

I find these statements totally bizarre. I don't think I've ever encountered someone from Pittsburgh who feels that the state "favors" one place over the other, except maybe funding SEPTA, but honestly I'm not even sure how that works. Can you explain what you mean?

poor pittsburgh... with it's top US robotics industry, google, museums, and other tech companies that none of those other cities have. how do we even make it through our days with this crippling depression ***kicks dirt***
