Maybe not man eating but certainly auto destroying pot holes now appearing all over the Pittsburgh area. In fact Sunday afternoon in downtown Pittsburgh I saw the largest pot hole I have ever seen. Cars leaving the Penguins hockey game were bottoming out on this incredible hole next to the Mellon support center downtown. Simply dangerous !

I know, I hit one in Friendship on the way to Market District and my car made a huge clunking sound and I was so angry. I hate the potholes in this city. It sucks so bad. You'd think since they take so much out of my damn check they'd be able to fix a pothole or two.

Lost a tire in Friendship. Suspension now shot in two cars. I'm seriously thinking of sending the city the bill!

Windwalker, I think I would send it to them just to say ' Wake Up ' At least attack the worse of the potholes now.

I just called the 311 number to report potholes on the lower McArdle Roadway. There are giant holes that go all the way across the street in more than one spot--like speedbumps, almost, except minus the "bump" part.

Smallman street in the strip is really bad too. I saw them patching them this afternoon. Since today is so nice there is no excuse not to get these all fixed.

Great point on the day of good weather and at least an attempt at patching some of the more dangerous holes. It's truly an adenture on some city street's and local roads.

I thought I had it bad in Ohio. Now I'm going to come over there and have it worse?

It looks like they fixed about 1/2 of them. No idea what the criteria was, maybe they only filled the ones deeper than 6 inches???

Default and can't forget the crater like Manhole's

Taking a lunch break downtown on Monday I saw a female badly twist her ankle on the edge of a sunken manhole cover on Smithfield Street. Does it seem that the manhole cover's around here are extra deep ?
