I see no indication that it was ever listed prior? Are you sure you are talking about this home and not some other?

No, you're right. I meant to refer to this house:

I’ve been to this house before, as my wife and I were considering it. It had a few oddities: the floor of the room above the carport was clearly not level, the bathrooms on the lower level were in rough shape and the shower floors were a bit uneven, moreso than just to drain water efficiently. The basement walls were concrete. It wasn’t clear there would be plumbing access. Most of all, where the house sat on the lot, it had a slope that appeared it would funnel the water right into the house walls. I bet there are some hidden water or structural issues caused by this, and fixing it as well as making some tasteful modernizations would take the house to a price point difficult to support in the North Hills school district.

Been inside 1616 as a kid and used to mess around in horse stables as a kid with friends. I don't fancy modern houses but this one is really nice and it's surrounded by woods. There is a relatively new modern house at the corner of North Pasadena Drive and Elmhurst Road in Fox Chapel which was done exceptionally well with great thought to the environment. It's not for sale, however.

I currently live in a contemporary style house, don't know if I could go back to a Pgh 2 story brick anytime soon. Love the vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows, lots of natural light.

That sounds like what I want, but what about the heating and cooling bills?

We have a ton of trees around our house that shade it in the summer. The last 2 days when it hit the 90's we didn't need to turn on the AC. In the winter with no leaves on the trees the sun really does the job through the windows. Plus, the paddle fans throughout help quite a bit. Heating bills are good, cooling is almost nil.

Yay! That makes me happy. If I can’t find what I want I can certainly find land to build on. Thanks much.
