I am on a quest to find the best Chinese food in pittsburgh. I go to new dragon express in bridgeville and feel it is the best I have eaten in pittsburgh. Any suggestions to help me out.

Define "Chinese Food"!

My Chinese wife loves eating American Chinese food when we are back in Pittsburgh. She thinks its interesting, if not actually Chinese.

I am not looking for dim sum of authentic Chinese, more americianized cuisine. Where does your wife like to eat?

well, isnt it "real" chinese? only chinese people work in those places. there is no shortage of chinese customers in those areas where there is a significant population (case in point - the buffet on Forbes Ave).
it might not be what you typically find in China, but then again, there is American fast food in China! It has BECOME "chinese". cultures and customs are fluid!

Yes, the folks who run American Chinese restaurants are often American Chinese people. But what makes the food American Chinese is the presence of specific menu items that aren't available in most of mainland China, except every now and then as a novelty item. (I get that you know this, I'm just saying it's perfectly valid to think of American Chinese food as different from Chinese food, just like Tex-Mex and California Mexican food isn't what you get in Mexico.)

Just by the way, there's also a certain typical German Chinese restaurant that you can find in most German cities, even the smallish ones. It's not wildly different from American Chinese food, but there are definitely little differences here and there, enough so that when I'm in Germany or Austria I'll make a point of eating at least one meal in a Chinese restaurant and getting a good Frühlingsrolle. You can get amazing noodles near Savignyplatz in Berlin, in case anyone is curious.

Koreans have their own Chinese food, as well. Here in the states, Korean Chinese food is often sold as Korean food. Korea Garden, in Oakland, is Korean Chinese food, and in Korea it would simply be called a Chinese restaurant.

She isn't very discriminating, actually, when it comes to American Chinese cuisine.

It pretty much all tastes the same.
