I have an appointment at city county building located at 400 block of Grant Street in downtown street. If you know of any on street or garage parking options, please let me know.

PPA | First Avenue Garage and Station

PPA | Third Avenue Garage

Don't park at a private surface lot. The rates for those downtown are incredibly high - especially those closest to the City-County Building.

Don't park in the outdoor lot across from the Courthouse as it's very expensive. I always drive around and usually find a spot on the street and it's relatively cheap if you don't need more than a couple of hours.

Much obliged.

Is the city-county building within walkable distance of these two garages? How far?

The First Avenue garage is within easy walking distance. There is also a great app that I use a lot. It's called "ParkPGH" and shows you each garage and how many spaces are available in real time. It's alleviated a lot of frustration for me.

Yes. About 4-5 blocks from each. 10 minutes or so.

If you really don't want to spend any money, park on Dinwiddie Street in the Hill District and walk (there are no meters or permit zones on that street, and there are always curb spaces available). I do that everyday, it's about 20 minutes on foot - I work pretty much across the street from the City-County Building.

Thank you. First Avenue Garage worked well for me. Cost me six bucks. The dough I spent on tolls was twice than this! If I lived in Pittsburgh, I would buy a home with a view of the downtown, its beautiful at night.
