Living in “the borough” has nothing to do with you thinking UPMC is doing something wrong. I had inlaws that lived in “the borough” on Old Mill Rd. When they passed away we sold that home/property as neither of us had any desire to live there.

You can accomplish something by providing a law/s that prove that UPMC is doing something legally wrong.

Agreed. I worked in the Allegheny Ludlum plant in Brackenridge that did invest in new equipment and technology and they`re still here.

Default Charges filed by City against protesters who attacked motorist

Quote:
Pittsburgh police on Friday filed assault charges against two men who allegedly attacked a driver during a protest march Monday.
...
Police said Ibrahim opened the driver’s door and punched the man, and Nunley took the keys from the ignition and threw them in a sewer.

Ibrahim, 38, of Monroeville, is charged with simple assault. Nunley, 38, of Penn Hills, is charged with theft by unlawful taking.

It's about time that the City actually enforces the law and protects innocent people from the race-obsessed mob that Peduto had previously enabled.

The City needs to start setting precedent. In all likelihood, this cop isn't going to be convicted. Can you imagine the level of protests then? The potential for violence?

People have the right to peacefully protest. But they need to understand that they're not given a free pass to violate the law. And law-abiding citizens need to know that their rights are protected from a mob too.

If you forcibly try to enter someone's vehicle in Pennsylvania, it is legal for them to shoot you.

Bicycle Bill's administration has been setting the precedent that the protesters can do whatever they please, and that the law-abiding citizens have no protection or recourse from the actions of the protesters. This lawlessness is a recipe that is going to get someone seriously injured or killed - and then this City is going to see serious rioting.

I think it was pretty wise of the police to show restraint and not make arrests, outside of this one which is a clear assault. Adding fuel to the flames wouldn’t have done any good.

The article was posted yesterday July 20, 2018. Where’s another thread about charges being brought against the protesters?
