Whatever it is that Bombadier does, it's a drop in the bucket by comparison.
Pittsburgh's hospitals have been expanding in the suburbs, but that hasn't stopped the City growth. After all, UPMC is building three specialty hospitals. But none of that has anything to do with this topic which is about office space. Somewhat on both topics, last year United Healthcare moved their 90k sq ft suburban office to the North Side.

Oh, and Bombardier makes planes, trains, and offers other transportation related services. If you travel you have likely been on one of their planes for a short haul. They reported revenue of $4.3 billion in the last quarter.

I can hardly wait- I'm one of those guys who currently lives in Murrysville

Its all about the city, and "obtaining and retaining top young talent". Since when did everyone want to live in the city?

If you build next to Google, they will come..... I hope our new building has lots of bean bag chairs and foosball tables.

Anyway, its free parking advocacy, parking mins and related policy arguments I have issue with, not trucks. It doesn't sound like we have a disagreement on that.
It is about competition. Everything else being equal, if someone has the choice of patronizing a business where free parking is available vs. a similar business where it cost to park and requires a walk, many will choose the business with the free parking. The same idea holds for choosing a place to work. Each business and employer must take those factors into account.

In what situation is everything but free vs paid parking the same? Every company and business is different and since they are different beyond parking there are clearly other reasons to base decisions.

I like how you jump on every word. Many jobs are very similar no matter what organization is the employer. May businesses offer similar products.

I mean, I didn't jump on every word, but if you are having a hard time elaborating that's OK. As someone who has literally never decided where to go based off availability of free parking I was trying to understand how that reason could be so isolated to as ignore the other many differences that exist between things.

Like maybe I wouldn't drive to McDonald's downtown if I could go to one with parking. I'm struggling beyond that example.

I can only think of one example off the top of my head:

We go to Mad Mex a lot, because it's somewhere which is both vegan-friendly and kid friendly. Since we live in Morningside, we drive to the Shadyside location and use the valet parking (which is technically free, but I tip $3 to $5).

However, Mad Mex has a new location going in at the Waterworks shopping center. Even better, we're often out that way because my mom lives in Aspinwall. Hence once it opens, we will probably never go to the Shadyside location again.

Where in the Waterworks?

I wonder how this will impact the Patron location on the other side of Fox Chapel Rd

Former La Cappella space (1041 Freeport Road). Right at the very end of the shopping center tucked around the back.

Thanks for the info though!
