Nice try but you couldn't save that one.

Only you could put gg and I on the same page. Thanks!

Nothing to save. It’s obvious.

Yes. Josh Shapiro is turning out to be a real bull dog for the interests of the people of the Commonwealth. Reminds me of Elliot Spitzer, minus the self-righteousness and scandal. Good for us.

So glad my employer offers Aetna, which permits in-network access/care to either Highmark or UPMC facilities.

It's sad that your employer, which is by definition a very LOCAL employer, has to send money outside of the local economy due to the rift between the two local health plans / hospital systems.

Good point. Of all places to not go local. It is what it is.

Genuinely curious as to why no one seems outraged by Highmark’s non-profit status.

Because UPMC has been the worse actor in all of this. They were the ones who essentially started the war.

Also, to be perfectly honest, a lot of the outrage has been drummed up by SEIU as part of an attempt to organize UPMC hospitals. UPMC's hospital system is virulently opposed to more of its staff unionizing, while Allegheny General is nearly wall-to-wall unionized now.

It’s much like Target and Walmart. Target/Highmark is good while UPMC/Walmart is bad.
