The burbs have a lot more of this sort of enforcement. I had a Swissvale cop ticket me for parking too far from the curb. When I asked how he determined the distance he told me, "My boot is exactly 12 inches long, anything beyond that is too far from the curb. When I remarked about how scientific his standard of measurement was he threatened me.

What did he do to threaten you?

The PA State Police never issue a driver a moving violation warning as state police/highway patrol do in many states. You violate the law, you get a ticket or a summons. It's a PA thing.

Simply don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.

It’s pretty amazing how so many in society think they don’t need to take responsibility for their actions when they get caught doing something wrong.

I’d wager a neighbor complained about the grass due to it being an eyesore.

Lawns are for suckers. Build to the sidewalk (unless you are right on 65).

More realistically, just tear up the lawn and plant some sort of ground cover like pachysandra. It might take a few years to fill in, but soon you won't have to worry about a lawn - or weeds.

Partying and bar-b-queuing on the concrete at home would be nteresting.

No one does that in their front yard if they have a back yard anyway.

If the cops are coming for your unmowed lawn, they sure aren't going to like it if you get drunk in the front yard.

If lawns are for suckers, isn’t the backyard concrete/built to the sidewalk, too?
