Workers were told that they did not have to attend the rally, but if they didnít, they would not be paid for their time. Workers were essentially coerced into being campaign props.

Do you honestly expect most of the regulars on here to see anything wrong with this?

Why not?

Contrary to the belief of some, not everything is so cut and dry. Itís why assumptions are mostly always wrong.

Dispute it. Where is the falsehood? They were told that they had to attend the speech or not get paid for their time. They were not allowed to simply do their jobs. It was participate in Trump emotional material or go home.

(Not a Trump supporter) Is it remotely possible to do your regular construction job before, during, and immediately after a presidential visit that requires a ton of preparation, additional security, and likely temporary stages and equipment brought in?

Extremely unlikely, but that wouldn’t fit the narrative...and it’s not like they were forced to go. Im sure not everyone wants to work overtime anyway, and many wouldn’t mind a day off even if it’s not paid for.

I dont think the secret servive would allow work to continue. I was at the brackenridge site when allegheny ludlum was expanding. That plant was a baby compared to the shell plant. There was steel being flown overhead and welding constantly. I dont see how they could protect the president with that going on.

Thatís a fair question. On the other hand, the workers couldíve been allowed to do training. They werenít given that opportunity. Their choices were to appear in promotional material for a presidential campaign or not get paid for the time

What training do you want them to be able to do?
