I know Dug. Although I am enjoying the heck out of this wonderful summer, I am counting the days until fall. My birthday is in Oct ad fall has always been my favorite season. Unfortunately, La and Texas have short, chromatically challenged autumns. So, I can't wait!! I get an eerie shiver of anticipation just thinking about it. As to winter, I am, as we speak, already starting to load the family up on winter clothes and shoes. I love winter clothes and never got a chance to wear cute scarves and tights and earmuffs and hats in the South. So, at least for the first year, the novelty should keep me warm
(That and alot of hot baths, warm soups and the electric socks my hunny promised me if we oved up here)

Ha, electric socks! I briefly lived in TX and NC myself, and I missed the fall season up here so desperately while I was away. Here's a tip, keep some of those pocket hand warmers around. The type you crush and shake. I always find them at the check out counters at Walmart or your local drug store. You don't really need them, but they come in handy if you find yourself out in the cold for a while.

Pittsburgh's weather is depressing. Grey, cloudy, and cold everyday of the year.

A friend of mine has already advised me in that department. I am a chick and it is a proven medical fact that we have less circulation to our extremities. Hence the reason our hands and feet are always cold...there is a reason, guys!

Ahhh..... I knew it! Every time it got five degrees colder, women would tell me they were freezing and wondered if I had a blanket!
