Since tomorrow is supposed to be nice, I was thinking of wandering the strip district taking pictures. Is it easy to find parking on a weekday?

It is not super easy. Rather than struggling to find a spot on the street and feeding the meters, the Pittsburgh Animal Hospital on Penn Avenue charges five dollars. I know, it is not free as we mostly desire. But it is a convenient location to make a few trips back to your car with all of the goodies that we buy in The Strip. Go inside the hospital to pay. The animal hospital is at 2202 Penn Avenue. Remember, Penn Avenue is one way going in bound to Downtown in this area.

I worked down there for 12 years. There is plenty of free parking if you know where to look. You can also park on Penn for 3 hours for free if you can find a spot, most of Penn doesn't have meters.

If you go around lunch time forget trying to find a free spot and just park in the lot mentioned above. If you go after lunch (after 2pm) or before 10am you should be able to find a spot.
