Default Working In Western PA

As an outsider, will I have trouble finding entry level employment in the Pittsburgh area or more specifically Ellwood City or the Cranberry area? Or how about Vandergrift or the New Kensington area?

One community in upstate NY where I am considering to call home apparently does not look favorably upon outsiders for potential hires. Apparently the old boy network is so extreme that companies will only hire people they know and are from the local area.

Your thoughts?

It all depends on what field you are in. I work in health care, so I had no problem finding work when I moved up here from FL. Got 3 offers at once. But other fields could be a challenge. The downturn of the US economy right now certainly won't help matters either.

Entry level jobs should not be a problem, especially in the Cranberry area.
