By the way, is Beto's still as good as it used to be? I went to Banksville for a part of my grade school. With extra cheese is how we used to get it. But in those days, you could have asked for pepperoni, mushrooms, and anything else, and still only pay 10 cents a cut. |

Haha, I was never a big Beto's fan, but my dad still loves it. It's unique, though, and the parking lot is always full, so I guess they're still doing well.
Personally, I would rather spend the extra 5 minutes to drive to Fiori's and get that stuff... talk about a legalized drug - Fiori's pizza is like crack to a lot of people I know! |

Fiori's? I don't know it. Where is it? Probably wasn't there when I was, 'cause I am an admitted pizza ADDICT! We had Campiti's, up on Potomac in Dormont, DaBaldo's on West Liberty, Rich's Pizza in Greentree, and ofcourse Mineo's in Squirrel Hill was always in a league of its own. The ones in Dormont and Greentree weren't there yet...
I know this thread is getting off track now, but it's lunch time on the West Coast, and finding good pizza in L.A. is as difficult as finding good Mexican Food in Pittsburgh. |

Fiori's is off of West Liberty in Dormont and it has amazing pizza. It's just this little shop, and if you didn't know to look for it, you wouldn't know it's there. They don't deliver, you can either eat-in or pick it up. They only take cash, too. It's always full and I've never gotten a bad piece of pizza there. If you're ever in town, you need to go there!

I drove down Banksville the other day, and Beto's is apparently putting a big addition onto their building.

That's beautiful I remember when it was a closet, before its first expansion, and strictly to Go!

Fiori's is actually on Capitol Avenue in Brookline, not Dormont. I get there about once a month. It's about a mile south of the southern portal of the Liberty Tubes, right across from Enterprise Car Rental, and across a narrow street from the BP. |

Anybody who wanted to discuss what this thread started out to be about, must be bugged by now. But pizza is a more pleasant line of conversation than the redevelopment of the Hill, or social inequities, or the shortcomings of our federal government's legislation. |
