I lived in Florida for a few months last year and there were no PNC banks down there, so I got an account at BoA. I still do all my banking online with them.

There are 4 Bank of America ATM's in Pittsburgh.

There is one in the Waterfront, South Hills Village, Century III Mall, and Ross Park Mall.

Also, my direct deposit from work is still deposited into my Bank of America account. I worked for the same company in both Florida and Pittsburgh, so it was easy to transfer.

Pittsburgh has a very strong financial market. Between Mellon, Dollar, National City, PNC, Citizens, First Commonwealth, Parkvale, and Fifth Third, I think it would be very difficult for some of the larger conglomerates to enter the Pittsburgh market and remain profitable.

It would be a mighty long and hard investment. That is why Pittsburgh has so few grocery providers other than Giant Eagle, too.

A&P was here. Kroger's was here and the stupid unions forced them out of town. Thank the unions for having no competition.
