Smile A new view

1. I was looking at an old tourist map of Pittsburgh and It said you could go onto the top outdoor roof of the Gulf Building for a fee.I would like to see this happen again.
2. Green (I feel so trendy) roof tops made of dirt and grass for insulation and because it looks neet
3. Stop destroying old cool buildings ( Like the chuch rectory ,near the new pens stadium ,which will be used only as a parking lot.
4. Don,t destroy the mellon arena , The largest retractable roofed building in the world . Turn it into a mall .

You had the Three Musketeers and Quo Vadis across the street from each other, everything within walking distance.
The Crazy Quilt was beside Harper's Attic.

I'm sorry, but they almost have to tear down The Igloo(Mellon Arena). It's too old, it needs constant and expensive up keep, the building is old and falling apart, and they've remodeled and rehabbed it about as much as they can already. I know, it's sad, but there is pretty much no other alternative to that beautiful and one of a kind building.

I find it charming.

This is so true. THE most diverse, and THE most provincial place I have ever lived was Honolulu.

um, Pittsburgh has one of the largest percentage of green buildings in the country.................

The convention center(the largest), the new PNC 3(the tallest Leed building), the PNC buiding on the south end of Downtown, The new Bill Gates Center at CMU, to just name few.

It no longer matters though, as any government building across the country has to be a LEED building. But Pittsburgh was home to LEED building since the mid 90s when only a few cities were home to LEED buildings.
