No prob, when are you visiting out here?

I will also have more pictures on here real soon, i just took a couple dozen more today!

Also, these are iPhone pictures, so the quality is not really top notch or anything, but it gets the job done.

Here are photos from my recent collection of pictures of downtown Pittsburgh.. They're somewhat artistic and aren't meant to show downtown or downtown landmarks as they're usually shown. There's more emphasis on light, shadow, and just random, interesting views of downtown.

Here's a link to my profile with some other interesting pictures: Galen Privett on the Behance Network

This summer I plan on taking pictures of many other places in and around Pittsburgh, and will definitely try and post them here for all to see.

Awesome. Did you use HDR on any of them? It's something I'm experimenting with, but I have a hard time using it without making the image look cheesy (yours don't).

No HDR- I agree that it does look cheesy, and fake, and really only works well for very few images. I do edit them in post production to achieve the contrast and color balance I want, so they're not 100% natural, but have the look and feel that I wanted them to when I shot them!

Downtown Pittsburgh has to have some of the most beautiful architecture. Every time I visit I see yet another building I like. The city also does a good job of preserving rather than tearing them down.

There's nothing worse than seeing an older building torn down to make room for a parking lot.

Unfortunately we did some of that too, and some amazing buildings were lost. But I agree that overall, we have preserved a very interesting collection of buildings Downtown.
