Also, the Constitution doesn't protect my beliefs. It reserves certain rights for The People, and denies them to the government.

What about the 'life' argument? There is support for the fact that life is protected under the 14th Amendment also. You cannot just use liberty without addressing the life part of the 14th Amendment.

In addition, there was no justification in Roe v Wade about liberty. In Roe v Wade, the Court did not specifically determine the question of whether or not a fetus is a person, and the matter remains undecided to this day. Therefore, since they did not decide the question of whether the fetus is a person or not, they did not justify it by using liberty. The court basically asserted their own political view that abortion is a "fundamental right." To base it on liberty is to imply that the fetus is not a person. The Supreme Court did not do that.

In addition, the Court had to find abortion within the scope of the Fourteenth Amendment. This was a right completely unknown to the drafters of the Amendment (there was no legislative intent). In addition, at the time, that the 14th Amendment was passed, there was still 21 states that had laws limiting abortion (no historical belief that abortion could not be regulated).

The Constitution, under the heading of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, guarantees the right to do with one's body as one sees fit. The fetus is not a person, as it's not viable outside the womb. It is an extension of the mother's body. When it becomes viable (sometimes at the 6 month mark, sometimes later, rarely earlier), then it's a person. Until then, it's property. I don't need the Supreme Court to tell me that. Animals throughout nature terminate their own pregnancies. I don't make the rules.

All oppressive laws the world over seem to come from a couple of books written hundreds or thousands of years ago by lunatics.

I also don't debate via DM.

Does anybody know if there's a Planned Parenthood at the Waterfront?

This is news to me.

Edit: A couple months ago, I went to Target at the Waterfront to buy an air conditioner. They were out. Then, I went to Best Buy. They were out too. I went to Lowes, and they had like four pallets of them, so I bought one. I didn't get shot.

I am npt sure if I want to reveive this thread but I didn't want to hijack anyone elses so here goes
I worked my first night shift last night. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous and felt stupid for it. When I left at 11;30 or so, everything was very lit up, there were cars and cops everywhere and it felt like a vibrant, safe place. I am not going to let that lull me and I will still be careful but I think the security and media attention should really keep other offenders playing it safe and looking for other areas to haunt
