Default Whatever Happened To Travelodge Lake Erie?

My mom used to take me to Lake Erie for summer vacation (1970's) and we always stayed in Travelodge motel, near Lake Erie. It was located on 826 Sassafras Street, Erie, PA. Is it still there? If not, what happen to it? Here's a picture of the postcard that I still have with me:

My Stars -- look at the panel colors -- Harvest Gold, Avocado Green and burnt orange -- and the cars from the late 50's I think.... how wonderful!

Anyhow... the Travelodge in Erie is now on 6101 Wattsburg Rd. -- and is definitely not the kitschy 50's model that I would pay good money to stay in...

But I checked on Google maps and it appears a building that might be it is still standing. You can see a T shaped building. Don't know what it is -- the address didn't bring anything up.

Thanks! I will check Google and see if I can capture the picture. Notice a big Victorian-style house behind the motel in the postcard. Isn't that interesting?
