Default Bus route from Canonsburg to Downtown Pittsbug

Hello. I live about 70 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. My husband stays there during the week, as he works in Washington, PA. He rents a room in Canonsburg. I am in Healthcare and going to school for 10 weeks in downtown Pittsburgh. I am contemplating on staying with him while going to school. I really don't want to deal with the heavy traffic of downtown Pittsburgh early in the morning. And, I would like to save money on parking. So, can anyone tell me if there are bus routes that I can take from that area to downwn? And, what are the bus fares?
Another option is to stay with my niece in McKees Rocks.
So, any bus info would be greatly appreciated.

There's a Park&Ride in Canonsburg and one in Southpointe. Not sure of the fare.
