Default Things worth checking out in Pittsburgh

I maybe traveling to Pittsburgh (and Cleveland as well) this weekend, and wanted to know some good sights worth checking out from the locals. What are some good neighborhoods worth seeing? Thanks.

What do you like to do for fun? As far as neighborhoods worth seeing, most are. But for a brief trip you could check out downtown, the South Side(Flats and Slopes[many city steps in the Slopes]), Mt. Washington, Oakland, North Shore, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill.

Mostly into checking out historical sites and photography. Where is a good place to get a good view of the city?

Cool, I will certaintly have to check out those neighborhoods, especially South Side with the Flats and Slopes, sounds interesting.

If you aren't here long, the best bet is to stick in the neighborhoods around the Confluence--Downtown, the South Side (with its long stretch of Victorian-era buildings), Mt. Washington (for the view), and the North Side (with stadiums, museums, and so on).

With a little more time, you can check out Oakland (lots of historical buildings and museums). I also recommend the Frick Art & Historical Museum (on the grounds of Henry Clay Frick's family home) and a walk through Frick Park (a huge wilderness park in the City).
