Thumbs down Magee Hospital performs ABORTION

I think that this is crazy!

A friend of a friend of mine just went there to get an abortion. She walked into the room, they did the procedure, and left.
Maybe its just me - but, I thought a hospital was a place to regain your health, not murder!

Yes, everyone has their own opinion and is entitled to it, and I am just stating mine.

For this to be a women's health hospital ... to help women and their children, I just don't think that abortion should be included into this equation.

But I guess it's all about the money ...

What do you guys think?

Abortion is a legal medical procedure. Having one in a hospital is much safer than having one on a kitchen table.

I think sometimes it helps women and their children. That said, I'm not a big fan. But Magee has been doing this for a long, long time.

Every hospital in America performs abortions with the exception of the few Catholic institutions that are still around. However a large amount of those abortions are performed because of fetal demise or miscarriage. It is a necessary surgical procedure when it comes to those circumstances.

Is this post a joke? If you don't want an abortion, then fine for you, but you happen to live in a society that has deemed them a legal medical procedure for WOMEN (I just had to use all caps 'cause you did).

Ummm... where should they be performed if not at a women's hospital? Back alleys?

This is the Pittsburgh forum, not the pro life christian superstition forum.

I think that this topic is not appropriate for this board and is likely to lead to an enormous flame war.

So what if it does? Have you ever thought that people might like to engage in debate rather than talk about "how great" Pittsburgh is for 100th time, is "Squirrel Hill safe?" for the 200th time, is "Pittsburgh gay friendly?" for the 20th time or my favorite "which diverse community is best for my mixed race family?".

For crying out loud people - this forum is like the movie Ground Hogs Day - it's the same thing over and over and over and over again. Remove the sticks from your asses, ditch the left winged moderator, and have some freaking fun. Debate is healthy. This isn't Russia or China (although some of you left winged fanatics wish it were). Speak your mind! - THIS IS WHAT THESE FORUMS SHOULD BE USED FOR.

Seeing how it is legal- if you want go and try to upturn Roe v Wade- there should be no controversy having an abortion at a hospital (would you rather it being done in seedy back alley?) Not everyone shares your view that this is murder.
