Apartments Near Pittsburgh and or Greensburg, pa?
ok i need some informational help here... im planning to get an apartment in Greensburg,pa near the college i want to go to in Youngwood,pa and i was just wondering ...does anyone know how the process works with like getting an apartment? i know i can just call the apartment office up and get the info...but i don't have time to do that except for the weekends and then there not open... so if anyone who possibly lives in an apartment in greensburg or surrounding towns near pittsburgh, Can you inform me on how the process is like in terms of them needing a credit check, or not, cost of a down payment , etc. i want to be prepared for moving out there in about a month and a half.... so if anyone could inform me on the regulations and requirements on getting an apartment that would tremendously help me out thanks guys!!! =)

Of course they will want a credit check on you. They can charge whatever they want for it, maybe $25. You may need to pay for an occupancy permit.. Maybe that is $35. First month's rent and the security deposit is usually the same amount. Some places only charge $99 security because if it's $100 or more they have to pay you 6% interest on it.
Goi to craigslist.com and look for apartments. Contact your school and they can give you some referrals.

Definitely check with the school.
I'd not bother with craigslist... not too many people here even KNOW about it, yet alone use it!
The Tribune-Review classified may work well for you.
