Default What are these bugs?????????????

I have been noticing these weird bugs that are all over the places. They are brown, appear to be some type of beetle, they crunch when you kill them(sorry bug lovers I only kill them when I feel I have too.), they are pretty big for bugs, they don't seem to be harmful(I could be wrong) but they are some thing you wouldn't want on you, they seem to prefer to walk even though they can fly because they only fly in short burst, they are pretty slow, and they seem to be attracted to windows I guess to warm themselves up in the sun since it has been kinda chilly lately. I thought they were just a bug that was common to this area (Moon Twp.) since I am new to this side of town, but I have seen them while at family and friends houses and heard other people talking about them also. Here are some pictures. I want to find out what they are so I can get some info. on them to find out if they are harmful or not and how they keep getting into my house, why they cover my house everyday, and what it is in my house they want(I'm guessing just shelter.).

I used to see those all the time up near Cleveland when I lived there and I just saw one last weekend when I was up there. I always wondered what they were and if they were in Pittsburgh because I hadn't seen them here yet. Glad I'm not the only one who didn't grow up with those in the Pittsburgh area before.

I haven't seen them until this year now they are everywhere. If the sun directly hits one of your windows in the morning look at it they might be on it.

Yep, commonly known as the stink bug. I didn't know the scientific name for them though.
I live in N.E. Ohio and see them about every year, usualy in the fall.
Sometimes in the spring also.

LOL, that guy sounds just like me. I tried to explain them to everybody and even captured one in a bottle. As I'm typing this I am looking at my sliding glass patio door and there are about five of them walking on it.

That is two of you now from northeast Ohio that have seen them before which is interesting because all the pages I have read on them now that I know what they are say that they were first introduce in eastern Pa and are spreading north south and west but they think they have only spread as far west as western Pa, but they are obviously wrong because you guys in Ohio have been seeing them for years. Or maybe they were introduced to multiple places.
