Default Anyone know this building in the Hill District?

I was at J. Clark's in McCandless tonight and was looking at a photo taken from in front of the Pennsylvanian downtown in maybe 1910. Up in the Hill, maybe about where Connelley was or maybe a bit further south (looks like the topography has changed a lot, so it was hard to tell for sure), there was a massive building that I was really curious about. It looked to be around four stories tall, split into distinct sections or wings as you go north-south, with a circular tower in the northwest corner.

I'm thinking maybe it was a hospital, or a very large school? No one in our dinner group had any idea. I tried to poke around for photos online but couldn't find anything, maybe because I didn't know enough to Google. Anyone have any ideas? It looks like it was a neat building and I'd like to know more about what it was and what happened to it.

Oh, no, I meant the building behind it, the little one up on the hill.
