I'm in south central PA but voting for Obama. He will probably win Dauphin county (here and Centre may be his only prizes in central PA). According to the latest Franklin and Marshall poll, the only area of the state that McCain is actually ahead is southwestern PA. Obama leads him in Northwestern, Northeastern and believe it or not Central (by one point).

I used to like McCain a whole lot--much, much better than any of the other Republican candidates--and up until this summer I was thinking that although I was going to vote Democrat, at least I knew that someone reasonable was going to be in the Oval Office and the country would be in pretty good hands no matter what. His choice of Palin put an end to that thinking for me, though.
Ditto for me. I'm an Obama supporter, but I've seen many more McCain/Palin yard signs in my drives around. I don't know if McCain people feel they need to be more visible in a very Democratic area, or what.

McCain + Palin for a divided government. Democratic party has been infiltrated by radical liberals who can do a lot of damage with a filibuster-proof majority.
Yeah them librels will commit the worst sins of all - changing GOP policies that put corporations and extreme theocratic ideology above American citizens... they will change GOP policies that reject science and also GOP policies that demonstrate failed economic and foreign policies.

Yeah they're horrible librels...

As pathetic as the Bush administration has been, I personally would greatly prefer that to The Great Society part 2, which is exactly what will happen with an Obama victory. Do you really trust Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Barney Frank with a carte blanche?

Here here. A vote for McCain is a vote for Palin. Anyone consciencously putting that woman 1 weak McCain breath from president is either a far right nutjob (which is what he pandered to with the selection) or amazingly naive/uninformed/gullible/less than intelligent... McCain disrespected the country and the office by turning hypocritical and trying to appease the far right.

Reid and Pelosi are useless, but the odds of getting the magic 160 are a super longshot, even in the opinion of other democrats. It's too bad (sarcasim here, it's actually good someone stays above this kind of crap)Obama won't stoop as low as Mr. Scare Tactics McCain and run an ad referencing a possible future with a dead McCain and President Palin in the ad followed by death and destruction and crying kids then say "it doesn't have to happen, vote Obama." That would be priceless.

I'm an independant from ohio living in texas and keeping up on these forums since i'll be moving to the area fyi. I'm not crazy about Obama but McCain has really just ran a disgusting campaign in so many ways, first and foremost being the Palin pick, he made my choice for me. It's too bad I live in a state where the gun toters and big oil dominate the vote.

We'd be one decrepit old man away from a theocracy if McCain wins. The guy was horrible at the Naval Acadamy and he got shot down. Why is he qualified again?

Politicians always promise goodies. With Obama, we'll get access to national (not socialized) health care, the rest will be spent on W's follies. Ironically, Bush has been the most socialist president since FDR, maybe even more so. LBJ never nationalized the banks. McCain wants the government to buy mortgages. Palin is the governor of the socialist state of Alaska (every resident gets an annual check for thousands of dollars, paid for by oil company taxes). What a bunch of hypocrites.

An American liberal is more conservative than most conservatives in the western world.

Unless it's a Canadian conservative, but you're right, for the most part.
