Peter, it is true with a little common weather sense and with all the info through the net, you can do your own forecasting and many times more accurate.

A winter weather advisory was just issued, 2-4 inches of snow expected overnight.

Now I actually have some faith in this forecast. lol The air is so cold that there won't be any chance of rain mixing in.

It's been coming down steadily here with at least an inch of new snow. Does anyone use a barometer? Mine says stormy.

I think the big guy in the sky has declared Pittsburgh free of major snow events. Now I see the weather service has revamped their forecast, taking overnight snowfall down to a simple one inch or less for Pittsburgh. Oh well another storm lost..
