It hasn't developed yet. The computer models are predicting it to develop Sunday and then start to swing up the east coast. So it's all speculation and hype at this point. Fun, isn't it? Check out Accuweather.com. They are the ultimate weather hype machine. They talk of a "Big Daddy" storm , crippling snow, and show comparisons to the '93 Storm. All that is missing is a headline that says "East Coast Will Be Destroyed By Worst Storm in Recorded History!"

But all hype aside, it looks like this storm will occur and some areas will get pounded, but it's way too early to tell where.

Ya, I checked that sight out. They said us here on the west side of the Appalachians and Alleghenies should get the worst of it, if the model is correct.

The Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cinci offices of the National Weather Service are all in agreement that the early week storm next week appears to be developing along the east coast and moving northeast, hence minor snowfall for Pittsburgh. Time will tell.. Love the Pittsburgh media jumping on the monster snow wagon !

Seriously, what is wrong with the meteorologists in Pittsburgh? The snow has been coming down at a pretty good clip most of the day since 8am with a good 4"+ accumulating throughout the day, and roads were a mess. But I just heard Jeff Verszyla of KDKA say "today we saw scattered snow showers, with a coating to an inch." Did he even look out the window?

I called home twice today and both times the report was heavy snow coming down. Like the above report my household claims several inches fell today in those more on than off snow squalls. Amazing how the local weather heads missed even on the same day.

Maybe he lives there haha. I really can't stand him a lot I can think of times he didn't even mention winter weather advisories when we had them.
