Winter hasn't even technically started.

We've been known to have thunderstorms around here in December and January. The coolest is when there's so much static electricity in the dry cold air that it just starts lightning for no reason at all. I've witnessed that a couple times, it rarely happens though.

White Christmas Chances for the burgh ahhh probably not..
Well a white Christmas that the local weather heads said was likely, now appears to be a brown one for Pittsburgh. Even with our sudden temp drop Sunday and Monday temps surge on tues and wed. Weather rollercoaster Pittsburgh style continues without major snow....

Yeah, another "winter weather advisory" for our area fizzles out. I was expecting to wake up to at least a coating of snow on the ground, but there's nothing more than a touch of ice on the cars. Christmas Eve is forecast to be rainy and near 50 degrees.
The midwest got blizzard conditions, and New England is getting hammered with snow right now, and again we avoid it all. Boring! lol

I was a little worried about the weather last night, because I fly out today. But apparently when they say ice and 2 inches of snow that really means wind and blue skies.

I was leaving an Xmas party last night, at about 1am, when the snow started flying and the rain from earlier started icing over. Well, I of course slipped and fell , it all happened in slow motion. Even my girlfriend said it looked like I was in slow-mo as I was falling. Thankfully I had my mini cooler slung over my shoulder, otherwise I probably would have cracked my tailbone. We were laughing our butts off. Oh, good times, good times.

I'm laughing at KDKA's Jeff V saying last week would have a white Christmas.. Tough enough correctly forecasting 24 hours in advance, never mind a week to 10 days in advance!

A good missed forecast from last week.
Let's hear it for the wrong Christmas holiday extended forecast last week of cold and a white Christmas. I'll take the sunshine and 60's any winter day. Nice miss guy's on your 7 day forecast!
