Whatever snow we get from this storm should stick around for awhile as some arctic air moves in. Temps predicted to stay below freezing all next week.

Normally, I would be excited by this storm, but I have non-refundable plans this weekend

A little bit east and a little bit north of the city and there's no new snow here unless it's in the woods or on the grass. It's 39 at 2PM and the sun is shining. AccuWeather changed it's Saturday forecast to 3-1/2" of snow.

Polar Jet is comin our way
The Polar jet has decided Pittsburgh needs to chill following the Steelers game. So for the next 10 days expect WINTER>>>>> Getting colder each day following Sunday and about every other day a shot of snow, on top of what we are to get tonight and saturday... Winter is arriving.

Local Residents Stocking Up At Grocery Stores Before Latest Snow Moves In - kdka.com
Why do people here flock to the stores when there is a threat of a few inches of snow? What are they stocking up for? This will be a 24 hour event, how much food do they think they need? They can't get by on what is in their cupboards for 1 day?

Everyone is buying milk, bread, and eggs. I have come to the conclusion that when it snows, people are overcome with an insatiable desire for french toast.

They are calling for 6-10 inches in the Y-town area by tomorrow night. Supposedly we're supposed to get an inch an hour tomorrow.
