Yep-The Weather in my back yard is / was
Lovely Sewickley on Friday morning at 10:30. A dusting of snow on the ground and some snow flying around in the air.. Nothing tragic.. Still waiting for my 2 or 3 inches..

NOTHING on the ground this morning in the Oakdale/Robinson area, even some breaks of sunshine on the way to work.
The area around Kennedy Township where I work got a decent snowfall late this afternoon, probably about 2 inches. Just enough to cover the roadways and allow us to take turns sliding down the hill out of our office park. Good times. A salt truck would have been nice.
But this whole "storm" was really a non-event.

I live in Beechview, and have discovered that when the city doesn't salt my neighborhood in a timely fashion, I can't get home (too many really steep hills, subcompact car.) The bit of snow from this afternoon had me sliding sideways down my street, past my house.

Driving in the snow?
How bad are the roads when it snows. Moving up from Florida and driving in the snow scares me more than anything.

You may have issues on 2 or 3 days out of the winter. Generally the main roads are cleared quickly.

Me think another missed forecast.. 11:30 in Sewickley. Flurries with perhaps 1/2 an inch in the grass. Notice how the local weather folks call for accumulating snow despite the air temps remaining above freezing. Very tough to get snow to pile up with above freezing temps unless the snow that is falling is heavy heavy snow.
