These comments are so funny! Pittsburgh is everything that everyone here has said...it is old and run down in many of its parts - so what? When you live here it becomes part of the scene. And it is beauftiful, too, and not just in the nicer suburbs. The COLA is not bad for what you get, and you can always get a job - maybe not the best job, but a job that can support you somewhere in the regional area. And the four seasons are awesome. The very best thing about Pittsburgh is the people. Above friendliness, they are sincere.

I still want to move, though. Pgh is great for familiies, but kind of boring otherwise. And yes, I go to the strip, southside, lawrenville and shadyside. We are moving to JAx in teh next couple of months. I hope I like it, but if not can always move back here (doubtful) or somewhere else. Just looking for a new adventure!

I think Everyone gets tired of there hometowns and thinks they're boring....I know born and bread NY'ers who are sick to death of this place and 2 of my friends from NY want to see Pittsburgh in the worse way.....

All it will take is for a Pgh'er to move away for about 2-3yrs you will miss Pittsburgh in the worse way even start to feeling homesick...I know I do and about once a 1yr I go home for week clears all that up! lol

I get the opposite feeling when I come back to visit Central Pa. I take off a week and absolutely hate the drive back to NY. I cant wait till I cross those bridges for the last time and live life the way it should be.
