I would think hospital nursing is more recession proof -- because people will go to the hospital in a more emergency situation -- as in -- wait until it is an emergency.....
But honestly -- I think what we do (janitorial) is pretty recession proof. Condo common areas AREN'T going to clean themselves and residents won't take out their own dumpsters, and people will never break down their own boxes. Since people buy condos to eschew responsibilty, I just don't think we're going to have any problems.
In our last recession from the tech bubble pop, only ONE property asked us to cut service and pay. One other property asked us to cut our pay but NOT service and we told them no. We were let go.

We did not miss them -- they were pains.
