Default Home Prices in Sewickley

I spent some time in Sewickley this weekend. After returning home, I looked up some of the properties that I had seen for sale.

It's a beautiful town, and many of the homes are gorgeous, but it seems to me that home prices in general are extremely inflated due simply to the zip code.

Do you agree??

65 never really has any bottlenecks anytime of the day from what I can remember, so i'd say 20-25 mins tops.

My family lives in sewickley so I'm there a lot. From Sewickley to downtown is 20 - 25 minutes commute time. The only back up for rush hour on route 65 is the traffic light at the McKees Rocks bridge and it's a minor back up at that.
Housing prices are driven upward by the greater numbers of larger expensive homes. The average price then is driven upward by the larger sales. There are some smaller homes in the village that are more modest in price. For sure the address and demand for housing in Sewickley does drive the price upward.

And prices up in Sewickley Heights continue to rise. My uncle just sold two multi acreage lots for high prices to a New York City artist and a Los Angeles corporate type taking a new job in Pittsburgh and both building large multi million dollar homes.

Leetsdale which is next to Edgeworth offers less expensive homes while being smaller in size. It's not quite walking distance to the village of Sewickley but pretty close.

Indeed that is the case, but also the houses are usually in even better shape on the inside which you can't see.
